Self Hypnosis for Confidence

Possibly the most fundamental and essential use of hypnosis and self-hypnosis is to boost confidence and the sense of self-effectiveness. Hypnotherapists call this"ego-strengthening".

Why is this so important and essential? Simply because confidence is the fuel that gets us engaged with the world. When we have confidence we step forward and try out new things - we feel we can do it and setbacks are simply learning opportunities.

However when our confidence is low we retreat into our comfort zone - and we cease engaging in new activities - thus our learning essentially stops.

Real learning takes place through life experience - and to engage with life we must have confidence - the sense "I can".

As Henry Ford said "If you say you can then you can, if you say you can't then you can't".

Relaxation and Confidence Self-Hypnosis

Adapted from Professor John Hartland's famous ego-strengthening script - this is a simple yet powerful direct suggestion recording. Nearly all my clients are given this to work with for the first week or two - as it helps create a sense of deep, inner confidence and calm, a deeper level of trust in yourself and your capabilities and capacities.

Recommended use: listen to this once a day for two weeks. Ensure you aren't disturbed and don't listen while driving etc.

Note: for the most effective and rapid growth of confidence we recommend that you also listen to the Deep Relaxation and Stress Release recording once a day. Ideally listen to Relaxation and Confidence in the morning, before work, and the Deep Relaxation and Stress Release in the evening. Keep this up for two weeks and record in a diary how you are feeling. Compare your first and last entries... there will be difference!
